What is Veri*Factu?
It’s the Spanish Tax Agency’s system for recording invoices so they can’t be altered and, if you choose, sending them to the Tax Agency as soon as they’re issued. Spain’s Anti-Fraud Law requires it from anyone who invoices with software.
When does it become mandatory?
In October 2026 the Spanish Tax Ministry announced a delay to October 2028, merging the two 2027 dates into one. The delay has not been published in the official gazette yet. With MMEFactu you can start now and switch on sending to the Tax Agency whenever you want.
Do I need a digital certificate?
Yes. You upload it to your account once, and the system uses it to sign and send each invoice.
